Dogs days of summer

This summer has certainly put last summer to shame. I think about the August Evening project, and how we had some record high temps of 108-degrees for just a couple of days. I think that we would have suffered some loss of life if we'd shot it this year. The director had us over to his house for a screening of a 15-minute teaser in which he used the most "cinematic" sequences, and which also happened include many of my shots.

I went out to the set of Friday Night Lights the TV series to work as an extra for an all-night shoot, and got to see Walter Perez (who acted in August Evening). Small world. If only the producers realized that I have never gone of my own volition to a sporting event of any type to spectate, they would appreciate just how much acting I was doing by jumping, cavorting about, cheering, and rushing the field!

On another note, I landed the part of LEAD THUG in a whimsical feature titled Ninja Pirate Supermodels. I have one of those violent scenes in which I'm about to assault a young woman and get the poop fatally kicked out of me in the process. I'm dead by page 3, but I make a great entrance and exit! My big scene (which will feel like THE big scene) will be shot over a couple of days under a bridge in Round Rock in Sept.
