Last week, a deranged driver ran over my mother's fence in her front yard. The driver, described as a male in his early to mid 20s, drove off in his 10-15 year old dark green Lincoln. The Waco Police, in classic mediocre fashion are not putting any effort into helping find the culprit, who committed about $400 in damage in the process. Detective Martinez of the Waco PD has advised us that it's practically impossible to find the offender, even with a partial license plate number, because the offender could simply argue that he didn't do it. I've seen an episode or two of COPS, and most of the guys who get arrested on camera make the same argument, but the arresting officers in those situations don't let them off, like I suppose Waco would. So, it would seem that if you'd like to get away with a crime, bring it to Waco. If you get caught, all you have to do is say, "I didn't do it," and they have to let you go.

We are looking for information that would lead us to the offender, who was driving the vehicle as described, with "C65" in the Texas license plate number. I'll even offer a cash reward for information that results in the arrest of the guy for the hit-and-run offense.
